The cost of electricity to run effluent disposable
pumps is minimised by operating them only while
effluent is actually being pumped.

The EFFLOW trailing wire flow switch monitors the
fluid flow in any pipe and maintains the electrical
circuit until the flow ceases.

The REEVE EFFLOW switch will turn your pump OFF if there is either no liquid
or no flow in the pipe. This means that if you have blockage in the outlet or inlet
to your pump it will shut down.
 
The REEVE EFFLOW F27 incorporates a TIME DELAY so that a short delay
between the switching the pump on and the pipe becoming filled with moving
fluid (or being momentarily blocked) does not immediately shut off power -
delays of up to 3 1/2 minutes available.
 
The TRAILING WIRE design ensures minimal build-up of any of the fibrous
materials normally found in effluent.

OPERATION OF EFFLUENT PUMPS

These liquid level switches operate on the
displacement principle. When the non-floating
displacers (floats), suspended from the switch are
immersed in liquid, their weight is reduced by an
amount equal to the weight of liquid they displace.
This change of weight is detected by the switch
mechanism and used to actuate a magnetically
isolated switch.
The simplicity of the design makes it ideal for use
in effluent pits in dairy and piggery applications or
in abattoirs and general industry.
